DreamHack Canada and Bell return to host second annual Bell Esports Challenge
New this year, top qualifiers compete at FAN EXPO Canada

TORONTO, June 21, 2022 – DreamHack Canada, organizer of the largest esports & gaming lifestyle festivals in Canada, is proud to announce, in partnership with Bell, the return of the Bell Esports Challenge, an online esports tournament with live LAN finals that aims to develop amateur esports in Canada.
Bell Esports Challenge 2022 kicks off July 9th and will feature three esports titles with $30,000 in cash prizes up for grabs. A new addition to this year’s Challenge is the opportunity to compete later this summer at FAN EXPO Canada in Toronto. The top four teams from each titles’ qualifiers will be rewarded with an all-expenses-paid trip to the convention to compete among the very best. Additionally, the winning team of each tournament will get full access to a 2023 DreamHack Festival of their choosing in either Canada or the United States to further develop their gaming skills and go from amateur to pro.
Starting this week, Canadian gamers can register for one of the three esports competitions: Valorant 5v5, Rocket League 3v3 and Call of Duty 4v4. Over an eight-week period, participating teams will compete in qualifiers to earn a guaranteed place in the live LAN final event at FAN EXPO Canada 2022. The qualifiers and the final event will be broadcast live on Bell’s official Twitch channel (twitch.tv/bellcanada), showcasing up and coming Canadian gamers, commentators and analysts.
FAN EXPO Canada gaming fans will be able to experience the LAN finals in a dedicated zone featuring an esports stage, hundreds of spectator seats, kiosks, giveaways and more. For more details on Bell Esports Challenge 2022, including registration and scheduling, please visit BellesportChallenge.ca.
